Are you celebrating Pi Day on March 14, 2024 with a piece of pi or some round treats? Consider doing the following activities with your students while you enjoy some pi!

Pi Skyline and Pi Haiku is a tried and true Pi Day activity that all my students like and enjoy connecting math with art and English poetry! I share lots of excellent past-students' examples with my current students. The one seen above was an example from the year that Steven Hawking passed away on Pi Day 2018. It was such a beautiful piece that student made to remember Steven Hawking!

Another Pi Day activity that I'm trying this year is the Pi(e) Day Gift Box. I've made a worksheet with directions and an example for students to color BEFORE they cut out the pie pieces. This way, students will be more mindful when they cut the pieces and that I don't end up having to make extra copies!

In case you want a more close-up look of my example that I share with my students, here it is! Enjoy!

Once I make a Pi(e) Day Gift Box model, I shall update this blog post. In the mean time, check out more Pi Day activities from We Are Teacher! I hope you and your loved ones will enjoy this year's Pi Day with all these fun activities!
